MARIVAL RESORT AND SUITES

This is a beautiful modern 4.5 Star resort in Riviera Nayarit that is excellent for families, groups, and/or conventions because they have spacious accommodations without having to skimp on luxury. They offer some of the most spacious one to three-bedroom suites in all of Vallarta, accommodating up to 9 people in a room. The 2 bed-room suites are even split levels. We were entertained in the Presidential Suite and it was just beautiful with a huge balcony over looking the ocean. There is a total of 495 rooms in this resort and all have either 2 double beds or a king size bed, a balcony or a terrace. They have a waiting area, a sofa, kitchen, and a microwave. You can actually fit up to 5 people in a one bed-room suite, 6 people in a 2 bed-room suite, and 9 people in a 3 bed-room suite. In a 3 bed-room suite there are even 4 bathrooms. We were not able to see one of the regular suites because the resort was 100% booked, but I can only imagine how beautiful they must be based on everything else I saw in the rest of the resort!

If a person was interested in organizing a meeting or a convention at this resort, it can seat up to 1000 people in a meeting style arrangement. There have been lots of weddings that have taken place there already and they do have a wedding coordinator for guests to use. If 15 rooms are booked in a wedding party, then the wedding is free.

When you entered the lobby it was gorgeous! Large cream color columns surround the perimeter and there are many low brown and white marble top tables where guests can sit and converse. Each table is decorated with beautiful candles. It is a site to see. We sat and enjoyed a cocktail as we arrived, and it was delightful. What a nice way to begin your stay at this lovely resort!

This resort has 6 different restaurants and I was lucky enough to have a wonderful dinner at the Italian Restaurant called Bella Vista. It was fantastic! I thought the main course was served and it was only the pasta! The meal went on and on and on!!!! There are 4 speciality restaurants with different themes and then one buffet restaurants. You do have to have reservations, but this resort did have a unique idea. Guests can pre-reserve their reservations 5 days prior to their arrival through e-mail! That is certainly a neat way to make reservations a head of time if you are sure you know when you want to eat. There is also a snackbar opened until 2:30am.

There are 4 very nice pools, they have kayaks for the ocean, mini-golf, archery, rock climbing,tennis clinics, and golf clinics. In the game room there is XBox and ping pong, and in the KID'S CLUB it is open from 9-5PM and it is for ages 4-12. They have a Cesars Night Club which is open until 2am. They have a very nice upscale spa with a sauna for the guests to enjoy also.

One added extra is a free 18 holes of golf with guests paying the madatory cart fee if they booked with Funjet. That means if the wife doesn't play golf, that in reality, the man would get a 2nd free 18 holes of golf.

This was a wonderful resort!
