Name of Resort: Paradisus Punta Cana
Location: Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
Agent Reporting: Carolyn Young
The Paradisus Punta Cana is lovely eco-conscious resort. They have planned it to coexist in harmony with the delicate balance of nature. They nurture a large number of soothing fountains, tropical gardens, exotic vegetation, flora and lily ponds. This is in addition to their ecological walking park with birds, flamingos, turtles and monkeys surrounded by wild mangroves. The Paradisus is definitely a green-friendly resort.
“The Reserve”
Within the Paradisus Punta Cana is a very special resort-within-a-resort. It offers exclusive access to separate sparkling pools for kids and adults, a private lounge, and an all-new all-luxury collection of 132 oversized Paradisus Resort suites, including our One-bedroom Master Suites and Luxury Junior Suites; each spacious, beautifully designed and elegantly appointed. The resort also features 48 signature Paradisus Family concierge Suites that feature a unique array of family-friendly amenities.
Some of “The Reserve’s” features include: • New free-form swimming pool • Separate kids’ splash pool with fun slides • Private check-in area • Private Family Concierge lounge • Signature Gabi Club restaurant • Brand new Mini Club facilities • Transportation to beach area and all other resort facilities
Rooms: The resort features • 689 oversized suites, • Including 80 Royal Service Suites, • 4 Ambassador Suites, • 1 Garden Villa Beachfront Suite, • 48 Family Concierge Suites, • 66 Luxury Junior Suites and 66 One-bedroom Master Suites
Needless to say, this resort is quite upscale and definitely is in the business of pampering its guests. The Royal Service that they are so well known for will make any vacation here totally stress-free and relaxing.
Beach: The beach is as beautiful here as it is all up and down the Bavaro coast. It is one of the best!
Pool: There are 7 swimming pools in the Paradisus, a main pool, a splash pool, a spa pool, two kids’ pools, one pool at the Reserve and the exclusive Royal Service pool for adults. The one that stood out the most to me was the kid’s splash pool with the fun slides.
Food: It has an amazing number of a la carte restaurants, ten, and two buffet restaurants offering a broad choice of contemporary world cuisine. • “El Romantico” – featuring gourmet French cuisine • “El Marino” – Seafood fine island • “Fuego” – Latin bistro and Red Lounge • “Pavilion” – Delightful Chinese specialties • “Sakura” – The finest Japanese Teppanyaki cuisine • “Vita” – Authentic Italian Trattoria • “Terra” – Steakhouse offering irresistible fine cuts • “Hybiscus” – An International buffet presenting flavors of the world • “La Palapa” – Grill Buffet, Open for lunch only • “Vento” – Contemporary Mediterranean cuisine • “Aqua” – Contemporary fine Italian dining • Signature Gabi Club Restaurant
Drinks: The Paradisus offers eight bars with fashionable Caribbean cocktails and international premium-brand drinks. • Lobby Bar • Swim-up Bar • Red Lounge • Paradisus Casino Bar • Hybiscus Bar • Royal Service Pool Bar • Club Gabi Club Lounge and Bar
Service/Staff: Typically during site inspections you can observe the staff and hope that they are doing their jobs to the best of their ability. At the Paradisus I truly believe we saw a little more. This was particularly evident when Inoska Rosario, their sales manager, took us around. Everyone we encountered was extremely friendly and accommodating.
At the YHI Spa we were so impressed with, Mayra Ramirez, the spa manager. She was extremely friendly and gave us their impressive spa services book. When I commented on the wonderful fragrance in the spa, one of the Royal Service Butlers, Juan Jimenez, presented us with a small bottle of the fragrant oil, a tea candle and a small container of Paradisus matches. I wanted to stay or book this resort soon! Activities: The Paradisus’s professional guest activities and entertainment team provides a very comprehensive activities program. Guests can participate in the following learning adventures: cooking, sushi preparation, wine tasting, flower arrangements, candle making, Zen philosophy, massages, painting, photography and tango, salsa and merengue dance classes.
All-inclusive excursions – Daily activities in the “barcaza”, horseback riding excursions
Sports - Snorkeling, scuba diving (certified only), sailing, water aerobics, windsurfing, water polo, beach volleyball, beach soccer

Meeting and Convention Facilities: The Paradisus can provide up to 24,620 sq ft of flexible and accommodating meeting space. It offers 11 meeting rooms with sit-down banquet facilities and service for up to 450 attendees. Their group and convention department is solely dedicated to coordinating incentive meetings and conventions.
Overall: This resort is very impressive. It is both beautiful and elegant with so many options offered to guests. They grounds are well manicured and it obviously is quite well managed as all Sol Melia Hotel and Resorts are. I would not hesitate to recommend this resort to guest wanting a restful, but upscale vacation.
