The resort housing the Majestic Colonial and the Majestic Elegance is a beautiful complex located on the Bavaro Beach. They are sister resorts with the Majestic Elegance having designated one portion as the Elegance Club an “adults only” resort.

Majestic Colonial – opened in December 2005

Rooms: Majestic Colonial complex has 1005 units containing the following room categories:

• 18 Junior Suites Ocean Front
• 26 Colonial Junior Suites – with solarium and outdoor Jacuzzi
• 50 Majestic Junior Suites – with independent garden, outdoor Jacuzzi and direct access from the room to the swimming pool.
• 7 Colonial Suites with solarium and outdoor Jacuzzi
• 1 Presidential Suite

Beach: The beach along the property is flat, with sugary sand and the ocean water is crystal clear. There are lots of loungers for those who prefer the ocean to the pool. The Bavaro beach is one of the best in the world.

Pool: The large, over 1300 foot long pool is quite impressive.
It is well supplied with pool loungers and tucks in and out the the nicely designed landscape.

The pool system on the Elegance side run the full length of the resort so that guest with ground level suites have direct access from their patio door into the water (swim-up access)

Food: The resort provides 24 hours all-inclusive dining. There are a variety of restaurants at the Majestic Elegance and Colonial: 2 buffets and 5 a la carte restaurants featuring dishes from different countries. The include the following

• Tres Carabelas – Fish and Sea food
• Taino – Caribbean Restaurant
• Matsuri Oriental – Asian Restaurant
• Taino Restaurant – A la carte – Beach -Dominican cuisine requiring reservations
• The Rodeo Steak House
• Le Gourmet – Gourmet for “adults only”
• Supreme Italian Restaurant
• International Buffet

Drinks: There are 8 bars available at the Majestic Resort complex, including a swim-up Bar, Lobby Bar, Coffee Bar, Terrace Bar, Beach Bar, Sports Bar, and a Theatre Bar

Service/Staff: During this site visit we observed a pleasant staff attending to their specific jobs.

Activities: Guests have many options at the Majestic.
• Daily and nightly entertainment with a variety of shows and spectacles
• Casino with slot machines playing tables and bar service
• Discotheque with drinks included
• Sports: beach football, beach volley, day and night tennis, aerobics, swimming
• Water sports; A large variety of water sports is offered at the resort. Sailing. Boats, snorkeling, windsurfing, catamarans.
• Motorized sports are offered but charge for usage. They include water skiing, banana boating, deep see fishing and scuba diving
• Golf is available and located near several Golf Courses
• Shopping areas are also available here at the Elegance.
• The Spa is more than 6,561 square feet in size. It offers three different areas: The “Humid Zone,” “massage area” and the beauty parlor.
• The spa also contains Jacuzzi, Sauna and Shower areas.
• Supervised Kids clubs for children ages 3-7 years and 8-14 years are provided

Overall:

The Majestic Colonial and the Majestic Elegance were very attractive resorts. The building layout in conjunction to the pools, restaurants, beach and activities are very pleasing. The architecture of the buildings, the rooms and the landscaping had a “signature” appearance, one that said they was designed by top resort designers. This complex of resorts was very enticing and would surely please a discerning traveler.
