The Grand Paradise Bavaro Beach Resort, Casino and Spa is moderate to large sized resort located in the northern end of the Bavaro Beach.

Rooms: Grand Paradise complex has 1005 units containing the following room categories:
• 72 Junior Suites
• 897 Superior Rooms
• 36 Suites

Each category includes the following:
• Air-conditioning
• Hairdryer
• Full Bath
• Telephone
• Radio Alarm clock
• Iron and ironing board (upon request)
• Satellite TV
• Two “full sized” beds
• Minibar (soft drinks)
• Safety Deposit Box – complimentary with Suite or Junior Suite
• Terrace or Balcony, garden, pool or ocean view
• All Junior Suites have all of the above and a Jacuzzi.
• All Suites have all of the above with a living room with a sofa bed. There are also two bedroom suites available.

Beach: The beach along the property is flat, with sugary sand and the ocean water is crystal clear. There are lots of loungers for those who prefer the ocean to the pool.

Pool: There are four outdoor pools, two of them with swim-up bars.

Food: The following 8 restaurants are included at the Grand Paradise:

• La Palma Buffet Restaurant – Buffet – Beach - Breakfast, lunch and dinner A Sea Scape Restaurant – A la carte seafood restaurant – requiring reservations
• La Cana Restaurant – snacks and a la carte steak house – Beach - requiring reservations
• Asia Restaurant – A la carte restaurant - requiring reservations

• Taino Restaurant – A la carte – Beach -Dominican cuisine requiring reservations

• Michelangelo – A la carte Italian restaurant requiring reservations

• La Laguna Restaurant – Buffet – Beach - Breakfast, lunch and dinner

• Manglar Restaurant A la carte International food – Club

• Food Court – Beach

Drinks: There are 10 bars available at the Gand Paradise. Six are located near the beach and the others located in strategic locations through out the resort.

Tea time is from 17:00 to 18:00; Midnight Snacks from 23:00 to 02:00 and Deli Snacks at the Sports Bar, beach are served 01:00 to 7:00.

Wine is served with lunch and dinner, and guest may have unlimited domestic drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.

Service/Staff: During this site visit we observed a pleasant staff attending to their specific jobs.

Activities: Guests are provided non-motorized water sports that include windsurfing, kayaking, Catamaran use, snorkeling, bicycling and aerobics at the pool and by the beach. Motorized watersports have an additional charge. They are Banana Boat, para-sailing, and the scuba diving school.

They also offer Ping pong, pool and table games, minigolf, archery, basketball, football, free scuba diving lesson at the pool, badminton and boccia ball. Night tennis in the lighted courts have an additional charge.

There are nightly shows and daily activities.

Overall:

The Grand Paradise Bavaro is a pleasant resort for guests who want a laid back beach vacation. They will find many cultures participating in the activities presented and will notice that it is comfortable and casual. Because of its size, there are shuttles that travel the grounds and deliver clients to different areas of the resort. This form of transportation would be mandatory for a resort of this size.
